Within the tech tree itself, when you look at it you have your various ship lines. ), and with even a competent understanding of those basic items a new player can succeed and actually have some fun (or I hope have more fun, maybe they like throwing their ships away?) The biggest thing I have seen, and this is a personal opinion, is that new players don't understand the "Basic" mechanics of the game (leading targets, detectability range, consumable usage, etc. Sadly, the toxicity is never going to fully get broken down towards new players and they will likely always have a hard time. Some of them are open to help, but more often than not they shun off any sort of advice because of the (and yes this was messaged to me after attempting to help a new player) "severe negative attitude towards new players so I do what I want and don't need help" mentality. There has been a good influx of new players that tend to just go straight to the shop, hop into a premium t8+, then attempt to figure it out while getting slapped around in high tier matches. As pretty much everyone knows at this point, the new player experience isn't really that good at all. ![]()
